PREDICTED MAN UNITED XI FOR SOUTHAMPTON CLASH

English Premier League giants Manchester United will be looking to continue their red-hot form when they travel to the St Mary’s to take on Southampton in their second Premier League fixture of the season. The Red Devils will be buzzing after making a huge statement following their huge and impressive display on the opening day of the season when they thrashed Leeds United 5-1 at Old Trafford, thanks to a hat-trick from Bruno Fernandes and goals from Mason Greenwood and Fred. With the team currently in high spirits, they are the clear candidates to emerge as winners from the tie on Sunday afternoon.

Paul Pogba was another man on fire for Olé Gunnar Solksjaer’s men on Saturday as the France international midfielder registered four assists in the match. His fine form for United in the game is expected to earn him a starting role on Sunday while Fernandes is also expected to not be left out of the team sheet. The defense will most likely be the same, with concerns about whether or not Varane is fit enough to start. There could, however, be a little shuffle in the attack. Daniel James played on the right side of the attack while Mason Greenwood was the striker upfront and Pogba playing on the left-wing.

SMITH-ROWE: TWO VILLA BIDS REJECTED

Aston Villa have had two bids rejected for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe according to English publication The Athletic. It was revealed that the Gunners turned down the two Villa bids as they have no intention of selling the young English midfielder.

Earlier this month, the same media outlet reported that the Gunners knocked back the £25m bid from Aston Villa and that the club will return with an improved bid for the player. Villa have now returned with an improved bid of £30m for Emile Smith-Rowe and it was met with the same resistance as the first bid. Arsenal have reiterated their stance to Villa that the player is not for sale in the aftermath of the second bid.

KANE REPORTEDLY PREFERS MAN CITY MOVE OVER UNITED

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has a huge decision to make about his future this summer amid reports that he is set for an exit from the London club when the transfer window opens in some weeks. Kane has been a subject of serious transfer speculations since last summer and he has been reported to have told club owner Daniel Levy of his desire to leave Spurs at the end of the current campaign.

Since the start of last season, the England international striker has been linked with an exit from the club and was tipped to secure a big-money move to Manchester United. However, he decided that he would at Tottenham for at least one more season before deciding if he will be continuing his career there or not.

MANCHESTER UNITED DEFENDER SIGNS NEW CONTRACT

English Premier League giants Manchester United have confirmed that one of their players, defender, Eric Bailly has put pen to paper on a new contract extension until at least the summer of 2024. Bailly has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford in recent times and was even reported to have turned down a new contract offer from the club last week, but according to the latest development, he has now signed a new three-year deal.

According to those rumors, United do not trust the long-term fitness of the Ivorian defender and have already been scouting for possible replacements that they will be looking to sign in the coming summer transfer window. It was also reported that the Red Devils manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær was in the market for a top central defender who would become Harry Maguire’s permanent partner at the heart of the United defense.

Luis Figo Reveals His List Of Top Six Footballers In The World Currently

Real Madrid legend Luis Figo has been a busy man recently as he continues to pay close attention to modern-day footballers and assess them by certain characteristics. The former Portugal international player was a huge talent during his playing days and his Ballon d’Or award would give a perfect confirmation to that.

Figo’s list contains a couple of talented and amazing footballers, but only one player from the English Premier League made it to the list. He selected one from the Italian Serie A, two from the French Ligue 1, and then the last two from the Spanish La Liga, where he was a star performer while playing for Real Madrid.

GUARDIOLA REVEALS EXCITEMENT AT CITY’S CURRENT WINNING RUN

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised his team and said that their current winning streak is the best achievement in his entire managerial career. Guardiola guided his side to their 20th consecutive win across all competitions after seeing off top-four hopefuls West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon at lunchtime.

The former Bayern Munich manager spoke after the match and said he is currently achieving the greatest feat of his career and continued to prepare his players for a possible Premier League triumph this season. It was not an easy task for Manchester City who fought very hard to secure yet another victory in what is already being one of their best seasons.

ARSENAL WINNING RUN ENDED BY PALACE

Arsenal missed out on the chance to secure the win that would take them closer to the teams in the top half of the Premier League table during their game with Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night. Arsenal played hosts to Crystal Palace in the London Derby but they could not break the Eagles down as the two teams played out a goalless draw.

Crystal Palace produced an excellent rearguard action to keep Arsenal at bay for the entire duration of the game and they even had opportunities to win the game.
